Crafton Local History

About the collection

The Crafton Public Library collection in its entirety contains photographs and documents pertaining to people, places, and businesses in Crafton; Crafton’s original land deeds dating back to the late 1800s; print records of the Crafton Borough Council from the late 1800s onwards; maps and estate plans of Crafton and contiguous boroughs; and three dimensional objects such as street signs and clothing.

What’s online?

In partnership with the University of Pittsburgh’s Historic Pittsburgh and the Crafton-Ingram Rotary, Crafton Public Library has begun to digitize a portion of our local history collection to increase access and browsability. The digital collection consists of photographs and documents which illustrate the rich history of Crafton and surrounding areas.

Can I contribute?

We would love to expand our collection! Please contact us at craftonlibrary@craftonlibrary.org if you would like to contribute.

Crafton Public Library is proud to present our digital local history collection made up of a portion of the archives of the former Crafton Historical Society. The collection was left to the Library upon the Historical Society’s disbandment.
